Aleah's first day of Kindergarten

There's our big girl! She was so happy and excited to go to school.

She had a great time. When I picked her up from school, she was one big grin. We went to the car and sat for about 15 minutes talking all about her first day of school, just me and her. It was a special moment for me. I love my baby!

Ready to go back for day 2!

dresser revamp for baby room

We bought this dresser from a thrift store and fixed it up for the baby room. We wanted to use the top for a changing table so we had to raise it up.

We added legs and some left over base board as a trim at the bottom of the dresser to help hide the ugliness. Plus it just made it look better anyway.

I know it's a purple dresser, but it really looks good in the baby room.

The progress made on the baby room

There's still more to be done, but this is the progress made thus far.

The room still needs finishing touches and I need to recover the glider. So more to come...if I ever finish.

Kanani's birthday

Our big 3 year old!! Nani turned 3 on the 31st of July. She's such a big girl now! Aunt Missy, Grandma, Grandpa, and Great Grandma were all able to celebrate with us! We had lots of fun!!!

painting the baby's room

A couple weeks ago, we painted the baby's room. I had two little helpers. They did a great job!

Aren't they so cute?!

This is what you get with little helpers, a painted light plate- that I forgot to remove. And a painted door stop.

Kansas City Trip - our outings

When we went out for the wedding, in Kansas City, we were able to have lots of fun hanging out with the family! Here are a ton of pictures of our fun.

Aleah and Sammy at dinner Friday night. We ate at an Italian place called Milano. It was one of the few places still open.

Matthew and his dad went and picked Missy up from the airport late that night.

All the nieces and nephews so excited to see their Aunt Missy!!

Saturday, before the wedding, we went to Union Station. It was this awesome train station and museum. Matthew's dad actually left from here on his way to Korea during Vietnam.

Science City was full of all these great hands on experiments. It was very educational too!
Sammy in the helicopter.

Mikey and Uncle Mike.
Getting ready to fly a......rocket, perhaps.

More rocket launching.
2 lovely ladies, Grandma and Great Grandma
How's that for a pregnant expression??!! This was to test your flexibility. The good ol' sit and reach. Remember that from school?
Patiently waiting.
Amongst the dinosaurs.
They had all these great big dinosaurs that were mechanical and made noise. They were pretty cool!
Grandma always provides entertainment!

This is one of my favorite pictures from the trip. Nani holding hands and walking with Great Grandma!

We went to lunch and place called Freddy's, I think. It was cool because a little train brought your food to you. Good fun.

Across the street from where we ate, there were these fountains that all these kids were running through. The cousins got to run through, so I had to let the girls go through too. It looked like so much fun, I couldn't resist, I had to run through them too! It was even more fun than it looked!

Nani and Beth.

Everyone needs help brushing their teeth.

Kansas City trip -the wedding

Matthew's cousin Jimmy got married on the 24th of July in Kansas City. We drove out for it and got to have a fun weekend with family. This is the lovely couple Jimmy and Shanda.
