Because of weather conditions, it was just us for New Year's.

Aleah's first day of Kindergarten

There's our big girl! She was so happy and excited to go to school.

She had a great time. When I picked her up from school, she was one big grin. We went to the car and sat for about 15 minutes talking all about her first day of school, just me and her. It was a special moment for me. I love my baby!

Kanani's birthday

Our big 3 year old!! Nani turned 3 on the 31st of July. She's such a big girl now! Aunt Missy, Grandma, Grandpa, and Great Grandma were all able to celebrate with us! We had lots of fun!!!

Aleah had a great time in dance this year. We are so proud of her and she is so beautiful! We love this girl!!

We had so much fun with Sponge Bob that I think we'll do it every year! Good times!

New mommy in the house

One night after family prayers, Nani said she wanted Roo to put her to bed. Aleah was more than happy to. So Aleah read her a story and tucked her in. And after that, Aleah told Nani a story about when Aleah was little. Note: When we put Aleah to bed, we tell her a story when we were little.

It was a precious moment that I tried to discreetly catch on video, but as you watch, you can see that I wasn't so discreet.

My goodness, I love those girls! Oh, and believe it or not, Nani actually stayed in bed and went right to sleep.

Happy Birthday Kanani!!

Our baby is 2! We had a great day celebrating. We stopped by Daddy's work so he could say Happy Birthday to his baby and we had fun playing at the office. Then, Nani loves to swing at the park so we had Happy Meals at the park and we played on the swings for about 45min. Then we visited some friends and then went to the swim park. That's another thing Nani absolutely loves, going swimming. After swimming, we came home, had dinner, cake and then presents. We had a good time and we're so thankful for Nani being in our family. She brings our family so much joy, laughter and happiness. We love you little Nani!

The first of our new year

We went to a the Plymouth Meeting Mall so we could take the girls on the carousel. They had so much fun, which means we had all had so much fun! The simple pleasures in life.

These are my New Year Resolutions, simplified of course, I'm dedicating this year to my marriage and to my girls. I know it sounds "duh" and it will always be my new years resolution in some shape or form, but by declaring this for myself, it becomes my obvious answer to many questions that always come up.

If I know that I met my children's needs for the day and they were happy and I enjoyed being their mom, then I go to bed much happier, without guilt and I sleep much better. Oh and same goes for my husband, which is much easier, he demands much less than 2 little girls.

Just another video that I thought the fam would enjoy. Hopefully the floor wasn't too dirty.

Especially for grandparents

Nani insists on putting her shoes on as soon as she gets up and Aleah, I had nothing to do with her outfit. She asks to put a skirt on everyday and if one can't be found she wears shorts. We have an agreement that if we have to go somewhere, then she has to put pants on, but if she's in the house, she does not wear pants. We had to come to some kind of compromise, because if not, she would try to hide and put shorts on, or she would come up with some reason why her pants were unwearable, or she would just pull her pant legs up so they were shorts. It's only snowing outside. Go figure.

At least it's nice, warm and summery in our apartment.
