Our Sweetheart

(Mar. 3, 2013)

This girl is awesome and we are very proud of her!! We went to parent teacher conferences last night and we thoroughly enjoyed them. The girls teachers are great! And my girls are great!

Aleah is 7.5 years old and has learned so much in that time.

Aleah is a very kind and has a genuine concern for others. She loves learning, helping and accomplishing her tasks. She is the "go to" in her class. She loves her friends and family and works at trying to be a good friend. 

Aleah we love you!!!

Oh, and on an academic note, she excels in her reading and does very well in her math and writing.  

Reading is her favorite thing to do!

She likes to play soccer. 

Her favorite food is Mac and Cheese.

She enjoys reading lots of different kinds of books.

She likes puppies.

The Puppy Pound

It was so cute and she did such a good job! She loves to sing and learn new songs. She is a happy girl and so easy going.

Aleah turns 7

Our dear Aleah turned 7 years old! She is growing up so fast and is as wonderful as ever. 

Lets list some favorites:

Movie: McKenna and High School Musicals

Food: Mac n Cheese, Cheese pizza, and Beanie Weanie

Book: Not her favorite because she has too many that she likes but she likes Green Eggs and Ham, The Good Bye book, Jack and Annie Books and Anne of Green Gables

Thing to do: Read a book

Color: Light Green and Light Blue

Song: "Walk Away" and "Boys are Back" from High School Musical

I guess we don't have a picture of the cake, but this year Aleah picked an ice cream from Dairy Queen. It looked like a watermelon and it was yummy!

Little Bookworm

This girl loves, LOVES to read. 

These pictures are probably over a year old, but I love them! She was reading downstairs in our fort we made. 

Some of the books that she enjoys are the Jack and Annie series , Lunch Lady series, any chapter book and she loves scanning the scripture comics. It has been so fun to watch her reading skills develop! 

Fun parenting.

Learning to sit in a chair a dinner time can be hard, so I decided to help her out that night. In good fun we taped Aleah to her chair and she rather enjoyed it.

Since it was such a struggle to sit in their chair they had to find dessert. We hid a few oreos and told them they could have dessert if they found it. We taped them, in zip lock bags, to the bottom of the chairs. With a little help from Daddy, they found them.

Aleah you are a beautiful sweetheart! We're so proud of you and how you're growing into such a good person! You are sweet, you are helpful, you are thoughtful. You love to read and you are very good at it. You love going to the library and picking out new books. You love playing with friends and visiting family. You still have your excitement for life and can't wait to start each day. You communicate your feelings well and you try your best to be obedient. You get so excited about the great ideas you have and sometimes get carried away, kind of like your mommy:)

We love you so much and know you are such a blessing in our family and we appreciate all the things you help us to learn. You're wonderful my dear!

Scurvy Pirates!

Today I had a special pirate picnic. I don't know if pirates have picnics, highly doubtful. Regardless, I got to have a special time hanging with the Roo. She  really wanted us to be pirates, so pirates we were and we had a picnic on the ship with lunches bundled up in towel sacks. Then we went to the library and checked out some books about pirates. Then we played computer games together. It was so fun being with you Aleah! I absolutely love you and I'm so happy I get to be your mommy!  As much as I know that you have to grow up, I still wish I could keep you forever!
