10 years of falling in love:)

 (pics taken Jan 18, 2013)

Every man who truly loves a woman and every woman who truly loves a man hopes and dreams that their companionship will last forever. But marriage is a covenant sealed by authority. If that authority is of the state alone, it will endure only while the state has jurisdiction, and that jurisdiction ends with death. But add to the authority of the state the power of the endowment given by Him who overcame death, and that companionship will endure beyond life if the parties to the marriage live worthy of the promise....
But this gift, precious beyond all others, comes only with a price—with self-discipline, with virtue, with obedience to the commandments of God. These may be difficult, but they are possible under the motivation that comes of an understanding of truth
-President Gordon B. Hinckley

My dear husband has taught me so much and I value ALL that he has taught me.
One of the first things I started learning from my husband, boyfriend at the time, was how to love and how to be loved. He is selfless, humble, sweet and kind. He still amazes me to this day! I love you, Good Man!

Matthew wanted proof that his foot "popped"
It's been 10 very good years!

Moments of Love

Sariah was blessed this past Sunday, March 3, 2013.
It was a beautiful. It was beautiful to have her Daddy give her the blessing, it was beautiful to have family there and participate, it was beautiful to have friends there and participate, it was beautiful to have this baby girl presented with a name and a blessing and it was beautiful to be full of joy.

Our Sariah is our light and our anchor.

There are a lot more pictures and a few details to record. This is just a small glance.

Our Sweetheart

(Mar. 3, 2013)

This girl is awesome and we are very proud of her!! We went to parent teacher conferences last night and we thoroughly enjoyed them. The girls teachers are great! And my girls are great!
Aleah is 7.5 years old and has learned so much in that time.

Aleah is a very kind and has a genuine concern for others. She loves learning, helping and accomplishing her tasks. She is the "go to" in her class. She loves her friends and family and works at trying to be a good friend.
Aleah we love you!!!
Oh, and on an academic note, she excels in her reading and does very well in her math and writing.
Reading is her favorite thing to do!
She likes to play soccer.
Her favorite food is Mac and Cheese.
She enjoys reading lots of different kinds of books.
She likes puppies.

And here are a few faces of our sweetheart.

4th of July 2012

The 4th started off with a pancake breakfast and hanging out at church.
Later, Matthew bar-b-qued for us.

After our little bar-b-que, we did a water balloon pinata and the slip-n-slide.

And we also joined the Kynastons for some swimming and fireworks.

Matthew's birthday

This is sort of sad and embarrassing, but the only pictures I have for Matthew's birthday are of his cake, but it was a really really yummy cake! Lemon raspberry. We were blessed to have friends come over on a Monday night and share cake with us and sing Happy Birthday! I guess I didn't run for the camera when he blew out his candle.

Now we have a wonderful 36 year old in the house!

Kanani's 5th bday

Here's a few pictures from our little family get together for Nani's birthday. Grandma, Grandpa and Great Grandma were here.

Kanani has grown so much! She continues to make us laugh and surprise us with all that she observes.
Here's a list of some of her favorites:

Food: A kid's meal with chicken nuggets and fries
Colors: Pink and Red
Thing to do: Play with Aunt Missy and Grandma and Grandpa
Book: Go Dogs Go
Movie: Flicka
Song: High school musical songs

And now now pictures from her birthday party with friends.
We decided that the girls could have a birthday party when they turned 5, 8 or maybe 9, 12, and 16. We'll see how that works out.
Anyway here's the party.

Kanani decided she wanted to have a kid party and do a cake decorating party like her cousin Keala.
Here's Maya decked out in her apron and baker hat.
We served a dinner of chicken nuggets, tater-tots and bananas.

And then they started decorating.

Here are her friends decorating their cakes.

Looks like Maya got stuck in her apron. And good thing Grandma was here to help. Actually both Grandma and Grandpa came and helped a ton!!

Ta Da!

Piñata time!

Happy Birthday to Nani.....

And now, time for presents.

Christmas 2011

I know it'll soon be time for another Christmas post, but we couldn't just move on without documenting 2011's Christmas. So here's a few pictures to recap.
The 23rd, Aunt Missy and our Perry family from Nebraska came to hang out and celebrate with us.
We had so much fun! Here Aunt Missy is blessing us with her wonderful piano skills and playing fun and festive music. It was so much fun the kids not only sang, but had to get up and shake it!

A little present time with the cousins.

The next day, Christmas Eve, before more family arrived, the kids made Christmas trees with ice cream cones, frosting and little candies.

Kids make the holidays so fulfilling and magical! I love all these kiddos!

The rest of the family is here!
I think cousin Jimmy might be a hit with the little girls:)

The tables are all set! Just a few minutes of chatting while we get the last few goodies out.

Enjoying lunch/dinner. We had way too much food! We had the traditional pasteles. meatballs, ham, some shrimp wrapped in bacon, green bean casserole......okay, really, I can't remember everything, but I know there was plenty more, plus desserts.
More importantly, we were able to celebrate our Savior by being together and sharing our time.
I sure do love our family!
