January 18, Aleah had tubes out in her ears and her adenoids removed. She was such a trooper and recover quickly and happily. For the past year she had been having problems with fluid building up in her ears and it wouldn't drain. She had probably 5 ear infections in the last year and she usually needed a second round of antibiotics to clear it up. It turns out, it wasn't really clearing up. She wasn't a complainer whenever she got an infection, but we would notice that she couldn't hear us. The Doctor said, to her, it probably sounded like she was underwater.
When we took her to the ENT, he said that her tonsils were kind of big and thought that her adenoids might be also. Since you can't see your adenoids by just looking in the mouth, because they're up behind your nose, he said he would check when he went to put the tubes in. So they were big and he scrapped them out and cauterized the tissue. Yaooowwww!
Anyways, thank goodness. It all seems to be better!
When she came home for the hospital, she turned the TV down to 11! It use to be at 46!

After snapping out of the anesthesia, she was quite happy, with her goods from her nice thoughtful friends.

Finally, she zonked out!
