Our Little Spot...

This is our favorite little family spot in Valley Forge. It's so beautiful and peaceful there. We love to let the girls throw rocks in the water and watch the splashes they make. We float leaves and sticks down the stream to see how fast they go. It's a beautiful place to be and we love sharing it together and with any of our family who come to visit.

Just another sewing project...

Here are the girls in the dresses that all the little nieces are supposed to wear for my sister's reception. They didn't turn out too bad, they could have been better, but what can I say? I told my sister that I would sew all these little dresses, but I didn't tell her I hadn't ever sewn anything like that before. I make homemade things all the time, but not things you should wear, mostly bedding, persay. However, I have plans to sew all sorts of things to wear. If they ever turn out, then I'll let you know.

I know in this last picture, the dress on Aleah is a little short, but it's the size the pattern said she was, oh well too late, I guess all the dresses will be kind of short, at least they'll all match, and that's what we're going for, right?!

A little preview of the 4th!

I seemed to have misplaced my battery charger for our camera, so I couldn't use our camera, but our friends took this picture for us on the 4th.

This is Aleah and her friend Issac. Isn't it so cute! They're watching little fireworks that Issac's Unlce was doing for them. There is another shot of this, but Aleah's crack is showing.

More pictures to come.

Our big 3 year old

I know this is a late post, I did try to post it sooner, but blogger cut out on me while down loading the pics. So here we go again. Aleah is now our big 3 year. June 19th was her birthday, the day after we got back from Kansas. We just had a little celebration at home and then Matthew took her to see Kung Fu Panda the next Saturday. Here are some pics.

The darnedest things...

I decided to get rid of the side column, "from the mouth of a 2 year old" because I wanted the things she says to be part of our blog book when we print it, plus I never remembered to update it anyways. So this is the on going "The darnedest things kids say" post.
Okay, here we go...A couple weeks ago we were driving down the street and some lady runs a stop sign in front of us and I shout, "C'mon Lady!!!" Aleah calmly asks, "Mom, why you say, "C'mon Lady?"" And I explained to her that some crazy lady ran a stop sign and that I got upset.
Today as we were driving home from a friends house, I hear Aleah, with a little frustration in her voice, say, "C'mon Lady!" I just ignored it while Matthew said, "What?" She said it again and I just tried not to laugh. I quietly explained to Matthew what she was doing, as she continued to say it in the back seat. We both tried hard not laugh and I gave myself credit for not cussing or really losing it when I get road rage. Man, do you really have to watch what you say when you've got little ones always observing.

Our three year old!!

This posting is a little late, but here it is nonetheless.

Aleah is a big 3 year old now. Her birthday was the day after we got back from Kansas and we just had a little birthday celebration at home and then a few days later Matthew took her to see Kung Fu Panda.

She is has become a little girly woman, sometimes I see my little baby, but mostly a big girl with lots of attitude and a helping hand. She's beautiful!
