My Knight in Shining Armor

Okay, so I said I was tired, everyone thanks for the love. But now I have to tell you how amazing my husband is. You know that phrase that goes something like this, "He never ceases to amaze me", well that's how I feel about Matthew. Before he left yesterday morning, I said, "Maybe you should stay home and watch the girls today." He said, "Okay", but I don't think he took me seriously, because 30 min. later he proceeded to say, "I have to go, I love you, bye".
The baby fianlly went back to sleep at 8 and I couldn't believe it, Aleah still wasn't awake. Then I started to close my eyes, and the baby starts crying, but falls back asleep, then the matinence man knocks on the door, and the baby wakes again and falls back asleep and then Aleah wakes up. But that's okay because at least if the baby wakes up again, then she has someone to take care of her, oh and she takes of herself too. Anyways, before the baby went back to sleep, I called Matthew and said that I was hurt that he ignored my plea for help, but that I understood he had stresses at school and people who depend on him there. I asked if there was anyway he could come home. He didn't sound very happy about it, so I said forget it, we'll survive. Then at about 11:30, while I was passed out on the couch I heard the keys unlocking the door.... it was my wonderful husband! I woke up and told him thank you and asked how he was able to come home, he said "I worked it out. Go sleep in the bedroom. I love you"
Okay, how many husbands would do that? Well, it doesn't really matter. I just know that Matthew is amazing. He took care of the girls all day, he made dinner, went to the grocery store, did a load of laundry, made cookies, cleaned up and never woke me up once for anything.
Simply amazing! Richard and Wilma, you have raised such a wonder of a son. I love him!!
You mean the world to me Matthew, but I won't confess my love here.

I'm tired........................

Do you ever get on the computer because you need something to keep you awake while your kids are up? Another thing I do is go to the mall.
I don't think I've had 2 consecutive hours of sleep in the last 2 weeks and and before that, I don't think I've had more than 3 consecutive hours of sleep. My baby is 6 and half months old. I'm tired!
I know that many who might read this have had it worse, do have it worse or will have it worse. So, I apologize for complaining, sometimes it just feels better to let it all out. And really I'm fine, just tired.
I could've posted a picture of myself this morning, but I perfer people not to see me this way.

Big Girl!

This funny little girl was supposed to be sleeping. One night I put Kanani down for bed, but it was still going to take her a little while to fall asleep. So, after about 10 minutes, there was still no crying and there was no way she could've fallen aslep that fast. I went to check on her and I looked from the door and I saw that she had pulled herself up. She was so happy and proud of herself that I just had to take a picture.
About a week and a half ago she started pulling herself up on everything so I included some other pictures of her accomplishments.
You know when you're a mom and you stay at home with your kids all day, these are the things that get blogged. What can I say, they are good moments!

Who's our favorite guy?!

It must be nice to have so many ladies who want your attention. If anyone was mistaken, this is our favorite guy! Our favorite time of day is when we can all hear the keys unlocking the door. After that, it's a madhouse of excitement. Aleah runs around like a maniac while Kanani, if she's not napping, crawls around making some noise just because she sees Aleah doing it. And me, well lets not say where Aleah learned to be a maniac. Sometimes I think it's not fair, I wish I could be Daddy. Oh, but I guess I would never give up all the wonderful things that come with being "Mommy". For instance, being pregnant, love it; giving birth, even better; no sleep-for the rest of your life; the tantrums-in public...really does it get any better than that. Okay, I'm not serious, I do love being a mom, there's no greater joy and no harder work. And I can't complain because my girls are perfect little beauties...sometimes.

Our Little Valentines

Of course, I had to post pictures of our little Valentines.
Today we made cookies for all of Aleah's little Valentines and Kanani crawled around on the kitchen floor playing with the wanna be tuperware containers.
Here's a picture of Aleah and her real Valentine, Trey. They had a good time spreading the flour all over the table and eating the frosting, obviously.
Happy Valentine's Day to you all!

Here We Are

This is us, Matthew and Chelsea Perry. We've been married 5 years and have 2 beautiful daughters. Matthew grew up in Colorado, and I grew up in San Diego. We met in Provo, Utah and we were married a year and a half later in the San Diego Temple. Since then, we've lived in Provo, Ut.; Santa Rosa, Ca.; Provo again and now Philadelphia. Matthew is in his 3rd year of dental school and I get to stay at home and play all day with our little princesses. We've had lots of adventures together and look forward to many more!

Can it be said any better than this picture?

Aleah is our "daddy's girl". Aleah is 2 and a half and is a little sweetheart with plenty of attitude. She's a smart active girl and loves to be a big sister! She is so good to Kanani, just a little rough sometimes.

This is our little Kanani. She's 6 months and such a happy baby. She loves playing with her older sister and crawling after her, she can't wait to walk, so she can run with Aleah. Her eyes light up whenever her big sister talks to her and she cracks up when Aleah plays with her. She is a beauty!
