Nani's Logic

I decided it was time for my once every 2 year post on the blog. Last night was kind of crazy with getting off work a little late, getting dinner ready, then going to a school performance for Aleah. After her performance we came home and I told the girls if they did a good job taking a bath and getting PJ's on then we could have a treat. They were determined to go fast and finish their bath time. I was drying them off with their towels and Aleah right away got her PJs on and went off to the kitchen to look for her treat.

Nani was still trying to decide what to wear. I tried helping her along, but she just told me that things are not fair. I explained to her that if she wanted a treat she needed to get dressed fast or there wasn't going to be time for a treat because it will be bedtime. Then she looked at me with those big, sad, brown eyes and said , "Daddy, it's not fair that we aren't fairies. If we were fairies we could say Bippity Boppity Boo and then our clothes would be on. It's just not fair that we're not fairies. We could go much faster." I didn't know what to say to that so I agreed with her that it wasn't fair and she was happy again and put her PJs on with enough time to have a treat.

I love all my little girls. They are so fun to be with and they definitely brighten my day.

New Food

Maya tried rice cereal on Feb. 15th and she loved it! She has had some just about everyday since, but doens;t always love it like the first time. Today she had a little rice cereal mixed with bananas and she did pretty well. She seemed indifferent, but she liked helping Daddy with the spoon.

What a cute baby!

Good job Maya! And good job Daddy!

Weighing in at...

January 24th Maya had her check up. 24inches and 16lbs 6 ounces.

The 26th she finally made it past her arm and completed the roll. So now we have a unhappy rolling baby, meaning, she doesn't like being on her stomach. When we put her down on her back, she rolls over and the almost immediately starts crying. She can last a few minutes if you're there to entertain her.

Our Blog Book

For Christmas, we got our family......our blog in book form, well, just the first year of our blog. I have been wanting to this for sooooo long. I finally did! I did it through the cutest blog on the block. There's some other ways to do it, like blurb, but it was going to take a lot of time. With cutest blog on the block, you just type in your blog, and password if it's private, the dates you want, and your blog uploads. You can't change rearrange anything, but at least it's easy. I would have like to arrange it all, but really it was going to take too much time and that's why I hadn't ever done it. Some of the captions don't match up with the pic. and there's just a blank spot for where video was. So no, it's not perfect, but it's done!

For Christmas, we got flip through the pages and enjoy reflecting! Good times remembered!
Next Christmas we'll do the next year of the blog!

I just went to The Cutest blog on the block, and apparently you CAN edit you book how you want. I thought I tried to change a few things and it wouldn't let me. Who knows. That usually is a crazy time of year, so maybe I just uploaded it and called it good.

Really...

...um, I think we need a new family picture, or a different header. Alright I'll work on that. Who knows when I'll get around to that. I think we'll wait until baby girl can stand pretty good. I think I'll like pictures better if she's not all squished in our arms.

Tubes and Adenoids

January 18, Aleah had tubes out in her ears and her adenoids removed. She was such a trooper and recover quickly and happily. For the past year she had been having problems with fluid building up in her ears and it wouldn't drain. She had probably 5 ear infections in the last year and she usually needed a second round of antibiotics to clear it up. It turns out, it wasn't really clearing up. She wasn't a complainer whenever she got an infection, but we would notice that she couldn't hear us. The Doctor said, to her, it probably sounded like she was underwater.
When we took her to the ENT, he said that her tonsils were kind of big and thought that her adenoids might be also. Since you can't see your adenoids by just looking in the mouth, because they're up behind your nose, he said he would check when he went to put the tubes in. So they were big and he scrapped them out and cauterized the tissue. Yaooowwww!
Anyways, thank goodness. It all seems to be better!
When she came home for the hospital, she turned the TV down to 11! It use to be at 46!

After snapping out of the anesthesia, she was quite happy, with her goods from her nice thoughtful friends.
Finally, she zonked out!

Made it past the itch...

...as in the 7 years itch.

Happy Anniversary to us. It's been a great 8 years. So much learning and we feel like it really just gets better and better.

As life goes on, it's harder and harder to say what decision(s) were the best you've made, because without a certain one, many things could be different. With that being said, marrying my dear husband will always be at the top of best decisions I ever made!

You make me happy, my love!
