Didn't read the prompt for this Friday and I haven't done the MHR post for a couple weeks, but My Husband still rocks and I know it! He rocks because, even though he's stressed out of his mind, he tries very hard to not bring it home. He still tries to met our family's needs and he tries to help around the house and hardly breathes a word of complaint. I love that Man!! He is so good to us!

Quick trip
Last Sat. we made a quick trip to New York to go to the Manhattan Temple. It was a pretty quick drive and everything went pretty good. I had a moment that I nearly used some sign language and almost said a few words that wouldn't be appropriate for a Temple goer, but I got over and let it go, almost as fast as it arose.
We went with our friends, Arthur's Adventures, and we had a good time. We went to the book store, to hide from the breeze and chill in the air, read some fun books in the children's section and had a breakfast snack. Then we made our way to Central Park and then back to the temple.
We didn't end up doing anything else because I didn't prepare our kids for it. It was a lot colder than we expected, so I think everyone was ready to go. On the way home we stopped by Famous Dave's! YUM! We sure do like that place!

Quick note: while playing at the park, Nani got knocked over by a kid going down the slide and she had a mouth full of sand, which she gladly chewed and ate. But the best part of it was, the mom of the kid who knocked her over, said she was a doctor and offered to check Kanani for any injuries. To which Matthew quickly replied, "I'm a successful lawyer and I know how to check for injuries too. Thank you."
Okay, I'm totally joking about Matthew's reply. It would've been funny. Really we just said,
"She's fine. She's just eating sand. No harm done." (in a very nice, non-sarcastic tone. We weren't mad at all. We should have moved her further away from the slide.)

MARCH MADDNESS!
It's a superficial dream come true! We went to the first round of the NCAA Men's bball tournament. The first part of the West conference was out here in Philly. We went and watch BYU play Texas A&M. It was a somewhat frustrating game, but still a fun experience to get to be there.
You know when I was a kid, I remember my dad yelling at the TV when he watched basketball. In our house, our children are more likely to remember their mom yelling at the TV.

Thanks Blandon's for watching the girls and thanks to Mr. Renn for the ride to the Wachovia.
Good Times!

My kid is not taking a nap....why?
A week or 2 ago I had one of one those moments where I was reflecting on my day, and I thought,
"Gee, I'm tired. I lost my patience way too much today. Somebody please find my sanity!"
Then, as always, it's followed by,
"I chose this life... and I wouldn't have it any other way."
Opposition, my friends, is a must.
And this is THE life!

Oh, did I mention there's still dishes in the sink and laundry to be folded? Ha! Live it up!

Something to do
I decided after yesterday's post, I should do something. (Not that I don't have things I need to do, I wanted to do something I would enjoy.)Aleah picked out this fabric last month and we were going to make an apron out of it, but I thought it was such cute fabric that we decided to do a dress. Luckily we worked it out that the 1/2 yard we had, was enough.

(btw, the idea is for her to wear a shirt with it, or a little sweater over it. This was just for a quick try on and see how it fits.) She loves it, so mission accomplished!
Later I'll have to post a picture of the apron I finished this morning. (When somebody can take a picture for me.)

Haven't been doing any projects, been working out, it snowed a ton yesterday, but hopefully the last for the winter season, been thinking, not doing, a lot of what needs to be done for our move-in 3months..............yep, not much.

Nani was trying to get away, but Daddy captured her and submitted her to the torture of mommy taking pictures. She was trying to be grumpy, but started smiling. Ha!
