Dance Recital 2011

Aleah did dance this year at Angel Feet Dance Studio in Moundridge. It is a great studio. Aleah learned a lot of the dance terms and some fundamentals. She enjoyed it and did so good at her recital.
She's a beautiful little ballerina!
Good job sweetheart!

Kindergarten Graduation

I'm not ready for her to move on, but I guess she has to. Aleah is growing up and she has finished Kindergarten. It was such a fun year and her teacher, Mrs. Pacey, was wonderful and perfect! We are so sad to not have her for a teacher anymore!
Aleah learned so much and enjoyed it!
At all her Parent/Teacher conferences we were told she was such a great help, very honest and she scored above average in al the catagories that are tested. At the end of Kindergarten they are expected to be reading at a level B. Aleah ended the year reading at a level F.
We're so proud of her and all her hard work. There has been times of pure joy in watching her grow and accomplish new skills. And lets be honest, there have been some times of heart break too as we watched her learn how to intergrate with other children. At the end we have learned even more how big Aleah's heart is and how sweet and senistive she can be.

The kids sang some songs.

 Getting her certificate.

 Her class
Ashlyn, Aleah, Mrs. Pacey and Brigid
At the end of the day the kids let balloons go as a symbol of moving on and rising above.

Great job Aleah we love you!!

Dallas Temple

On the way down to San Antonio, over Easter weekend, we stayed in Dallas.

We stopped by the Dallas Temple on our way out. There was a light drizzle, the air was cool, the greenery all around was vivid and we were surrounded by the sound of singing birds. It was beautiful!

A Photo Experiment

Back in April, the girls and I went out to Cameron, MO and Nauvoo, IL, to celebrate 2 weddings. Alisha, my niece, and Nathanael needed some pictures taken so here are a few pictures I took. It was fun and definitely a learning experience. Hardly an amateur, but hey, it's documented.

Tea time

The other day, I heard Maya get up from her nap, but I was busy doing something and I needed just a few more minutes. I asked Nani to go check on her and talk to her for a couple of minutes until I could go get her out. When I went to get her out, they were having a Tea Party. Both equally enjoyed it!

Cheers!
