May Day- Week

All schools day parade. During May, there's a week where May Day/Fete is celebrated here. There's lots of activities and the carnival comes into town. At the end of the week, on Friday, the town shuts down and there's a big parade celebrating all the schools around the county. It was pretty fun.

Nani watching the parade.

Aleah lost her balloon and she was really sad about it. A friend tried to make it all better, but they were all out of balloons. She watched most of the parade with our friend.

There's us watching the parade.

All tuckered out!

Also this week is when school age children perform. Aleah got to perform her Rainbow Connection dance with her dance group. It was the cutest little thing I ever saw. Brought a tear to my eye. I love that little girl!
We were so proud of her!! She didn't get shy or embarrassed and she did a wonderful job. Next week is her actual recital. I can't wait! I love that girl!

Chuck-E-Cheese's

After we found out we were having another girl, we went down to Wichita to take the girls to Chuck-e-cheese's. They did such a good job the week before that we planned a fun trip for them . And since Mother's day was coming up, they took my to Olive Garden! It was a fun busy day!

The girls had lots of fun!

Matthew did too!

Dental check up

The girls went to the office to get a check up from Dad. After Aleah got her check up, she decided to hop in the chair to help assist. She didn't do too bad.

Sonogram says....

we're going to have another girl!!!

Field trip to the Hedrick Exotic Animal Farm

For Aleah's preschool class we went on a field trip to an exotic animal farm. It was rather cool. besides my children being very afraid of animals, I enjoyed it. We did good enough not to absolutely freak out with the crying and screaming and trying to jump on mom kind of thing. So I think it went pretty well. At this farm you can pet almost all these animals. I don't have more pictures because my hands were occupied trying to keep Aleah calm. Needless to say Aleah didn't pet any animals, wait she did pet the kangaroo at the very end. Nani didn't pet any animals. I wanted to pet more animals, but again, I was occupied and required by Aleah to keep my distance. The animals you could pet were giraffes, camels, llamas, zebras, horses, different cow types, kangaroos, goats and emu. The only animal they suggest you don't pet are the ostrich, they bite hard! We saw some other cool animals too.

some camel kissing!

Soccer

In April, Aleah started a soccer clinic.
She's having lots of fun and getting some exposure to the sport.
She's still not quite sure about taking the ball from other kids. We're tyring to convince her that during soccer it's okay.

kite flying

We tried flying kites the other day. It went okay. It wasn't as easy as I remember, but it was fun.
