Soccer

In April, Aleah started a soccer clinic.
She's having lots of fun and getting some exposure to the sport.
She's still not quite sure about taking the ball from other kids. We're tyring to convince her that during soccer it's okay.

kite flying

We tried flying kites the other day. It went okay. It wasn't as easy as I remember, but it was fun.

Cravings!!!

Bruschetta
This is what I've been craving! I remember a SIL eating this when she was prego, and when I thought about it, I wanted it!! So I had to make some.......................and eat ALL of it! (there was much more than what's on this plate- somebody stop me!)

Warm weather!!

A kind friend brought us these beautiful flowers from his garden. Isn't that so sweet?!
Spring is beautiful!

A few months ago, in anticipation of the warm weather, I bought some fabric to make spring and summer outfits for the girls. Last week, I finally made them. I sewed like a crazy woman. The funny thing is, that these outfits really take very little time. The skirts I made are even faster. The other projects I sewed took more time, but I'll post those later. I made 3 sun dresses 3 skirts and a nursing cover. The other projects I sewed took more time, but I'll post those later. I can't wait to show you the other projects. It was a first time for those.

Some more from Easter

Here are a few more pictures from our Easter. (Yes, I know
Easter was a month ago)

The girls decorated their baskets this year.
One of the many egg hunts.

And this picture pretty much explains that week. We were exhausted! We got to spend time with so many friends and we were all over the place. Aleah fell asleep like that. When you're tired, you're tired.

Easter fun

Last Saturday, we started our morning off with yummy Easter egg pancakes! The girls loved them. Then we had a fun filled day of shopping for Easter crafts and goodies for this week.

The girls picked a few things out for their doll house too. We had a great day.
(Matthew had to work again that day, so I tried to make it fun for the girls. Success!)

A few pics from last Sunday of the girls looking cute in their new dresses!

A few quick projects

This little dress turned out okay. I'll have to make some revisions the next time I make it.
It's a summer dress or maybe a swim suit cover up or both.

This was my first experience shirring/smocking (click for a tutorial) and it turned out! I was intimidated to try, but it was a lot easier than I thought! These are made from old t-shirts and they're nice and soft and perfect for summer...even though the girls insist on wearing them now:)

These little shorties are a copy cat from MADE. She didn't have a tutorial, but you could figure it out using your own kids clothes as a pattern.
